Cut carpet too short

Options
My mistake. Had some fitted wardrobes. Current carpet too long so I decided to cut it. I did it in a straight line. Sadly the carpet wasn't perpendicular and there's a small slither approx 1cm at its widest, narrowing to a point about 15cm long. Floorboard is visible underneath.

I still have the offcut but I need to fix it so it doesn't lift up when vacuumed.

Any remedies, bar a new carpet?

I suppose you could use adhesive or nails/panel pins; it might not even be particularly noticeable.

Two options to try before starting again with a new carpet. One, as suggested above, try tacking or glueing the scrap into place to see if it's noticeable. Two, get a piece of trim to match the wardrobe and fit it like a slim threshold at the base of the wardrobe, covering the triangle of missing carpet.

Can you not stitch it together ahead of glueing it down, would think that might help, if you can do so invisibly.

Double sided carpet tape and or carpet glue.........and next time remember "measure twice cut once"

As above if its a decent carpet maybe stitch it as well
