Add your feedback on energy supplier Extra Energy

Just had a great deal from this company for a year's electricity contract which beats all the household names..... but I've not heard of them before. Has anyone heard of them or used them? Thanks :)

So post a link for us...

  • This won't let me post a link (thinks I might be spamming) but it's the name in the title and surprisingly works without a dot-uk at the end. The rates quoted were 23.79 standing charge per day and unit rate of 9.42p :)
  • Is it a business supply?
  • Yes it is :)
  • I have signed up to Extra Energy for 1 year at an unrivalled business rate. Even the domestic rate is extraordinary. The electricity rate was about 20% lower than my present rate, with over 30% saving on the daily charge!
The gas daily charge was about 22% higher, but the rate was about 7% less.
They are a newish Continental company, Ofgem regulated.

They have just appeared on my Energyhelpline quote this morning and come in at +8% for me, the next closest is NP & FU at +12% so quite a saving. Not showing on USwitch or Cheap Energy Club though.

Their variable unit prices are 10% cheaper than the fixed but the SC is 140% dearer, £210 pa against £86 per fuel.

Also came up on Energyhelpline (but no others) when I checked (as my Ovo contract ends soon).

Their fixed rate v2 rate (to sept 2015) for me is less than my current rate!

Was just trying to find them when I came across this thread - and then had some luck :)

I have just signed up for their fixed price until September 2015, electricity only(domestic).
Cheapest deal I could find and cheaper than the Fixed price 2014 EDF rate I was on before.
There is a £25 per service early termination charge though.
