Thats why i was giggling because it is essentally Whitfield. TBH area names don't bother me but its a nice house, culdasac and it looks so so quietI have 2 kids so really a 2 bed flat is no longer cutting it but selling up is a scary prospect.

Actual vanue not decided but I thunk we were hoping to take advantage of any festivities set up. If people from Edinburgh could suggest somewhere to meet fairly easy to get to (prob from Waverly for most folk) that would be fab x

Well it depends what you want to do - there is a Weatherspoons (The Standing Order Pub) on George St which is 5ish minutes walk from Waverly Station/the bus station. If you want to meet there it's central and easy to find.

Cheap/free entertainment wise people could also meet up at the National Gallery on Princes St.

Any other suggestions? The Standing Order is my goto suggestion for easy to find and cheap :D

I have just joined here and there are so many posters i doubt i will know many by the time this party comes around, but if i do i may make the trip down, last time i stayed in Edinburgh i used the secret hotel finder on lastminute, got a room which was normally about 150GBP for 60, so would definatly use this again, and its pretty easy to match up the hotel before you pay for it, although this may not be so easy at the time of year we are speaking about.
  • I'm getting cold feet now - so many people....

Fay - you'll not be the oldest - I can assure you of that

And now I have a really important reason to start the diet tomorrow....
