Tax on DC pension drawdown

This may be a stupid question, but here goes. Since we get tax relief on private and DC pension contributions, does that mean we get taxed on it during drawdown (excl. the 25% tax free portion) regardless of whether the drawdown sum is less than the personal tax allowance for the year?

Its treated as income so its subject to income tax with the same tax bands and rates applying, so if sum of all your income is under personal allowance you don't pay tax.
