Hi ff, lovely to see you. Glad to hear your ok. We are still waiting for rain here. It's so warm i went to bed once but tossed and turned so got up and will try again later.
Hope you enjoy your evening with your friend rose. Thanks for the link Alfie, i watched a show about the cats a while ago and they looked so cute but not the friendliest of animals.

Morning folks. Bit dull and cloudy here but supposed to clear. So expecting some sunshine later. Hospital appointment went ok yesterday but I am a bit sore as doc was manipulating my leg to see how much movement I had in ball and socket joint. He said I can put full weight on leg now but to keep using crutches. I also have two walking sticks now for use indoors which is making it a bit easier to get about. He also said once muscle builds back up around top of leg and hip I should be able to get rid of crutches and use one stick which I already did occasionally because of leg. (I broke it at knee years ago and have pins in it). FF nice to see you . Take care. Wishing you and your DH well. Hope things get better. Had a couple of G & T's which knocked me out quickly when I went to bed. Friend cheered me up with some of the antics of her work collegues. Going to venture over to shop for a paper this morning. So off to have a shower and a cuppa. Take care folks.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all ok. pluie07.gif Please enjoy this GIFt of glorious rain ....

    tumblr_o94v6ypp2m1upvbufo1_400.gif

for those of us not lucky enough to receive the real stuff. :D :rotfl:

It's lovely to 'see' you again fire**fly. :A Definitely no rain
down here, even though we had a yellow warning for
thunderstorms yesterday. Ho hum. Apparently it's going to
get even warmer over the coming days.

Here's a couple of interesting links though - all sorts of 'long
lost' historical sites have become visible due to the heatwave ...

    http://www.foxnews.com/science/2018/07/17/drought-reveals-ghost-gardens-ancient-cemeteries-lost-cities-across-british-isles.html

    and here:

Pleased your hospital visit went well yesterday rose, even
after all the manipulating! :p Great news that you only have
to use crutches outside now and can make use of walking
sticks indoors. As you say, it'll make life much easier.
    Onwards & upwards! :T

Here's another link I've found re. Scottish wildcats - very
    aptly named  .....

    wildcatside.png

Pound for pound the Scottish wildcat is one of the most impressive
predators in the world; intelligent, fearless, resourceful, patient,
agile and powerful they are genuine superpredators which until as
recently as the 1950s were still believed to be man killers.

Although wildcats look similar to domestic cats, these are no ferals
or farm cats run wild; they're Britain's only remaining large wild
predator, our only wild cat, and they walked this land for millions
of years before mankind arrived or domestic cats existed.

Surviving human persecution for five hundred more years than the
British wolf and over a thousand more years than the British lynx
or bear, they are born survivors; adaptable and resilient to some of
the most substantial changes in habitat, culture and politics that
any animal has had to face.

Every inch a cat in every sense of the word the Scottish wildcat
epitomises the independent, mysterious and wild spirit of the
    Highlands like no other creature.

"They'll fight to the death for their freedom; they epitomise what it
takes to be truly free I think."
    Mike Tomkies

Just off outside to water a few plants that are in the shade
for most of the day - phew, the sun's out orangesun.gif & shining away,
    it's already unbearably warm! ice-cube-smiley.gif?1292867623

Have a lovely & lucky Saturday all and please take care
    whatever your plans.

    Good Morning,

The rain has finally stopped after about 24hrs I think. Didn't get out at all yesterday. It is quite cool at the moment. Am I making you jealous Alfie and indie? :rotfl: We have moved back into our upstairs bedroom.
Hoping the sun will appear this afternoon though.

Sounds like you are making great progress rose.

Nice to see you FF and hope you are looking after yourself. I know how tiring it is to look after someone all the time.

Going to visit my parents this morning and get some shopping at Tesco.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Afternoon peeps. Do not know what is going on in town but police are flying about with their blue lights and me-maws going. Glad I am tucked up at home whatever it is. Sun is trying hard to break through but as yet has not managed although it is warm. Gave neighbour shed key (DS's navy collegue) and he is going to water baskets, containers and garden plants for me. He is off down south to see his paretnts tomorrow with his girfriend. So said I would go in and open and close his blinds for him while he is away. He then heads off to sea not long after DS gets back. When he gets back. That is the worst thing about being a submmariner you never know they are back until the day before. Navy contacts DIL then she contacts me. She will have to pick him up this time as I can't drive yet.

Morning folks. Another dull cloudy one here but no rain. So hopefully sun will put in an appearance later. DIL and GK's are off down the Clyde Valley today to a Pick Your Own Fruit Farm. Their Great Gran wants to make some jam so they are putting in the leg work lol. They are going to drop in some strawberries for me on the way home so that is dessert sorted for today and will freeze any that are left. Hope everyone is well. Take care.

    :hello: Good morning everyone

Hope you're all in fine fettle on this hot, dry, 'not even a drop
    of rain' kinda day! :D

Just been watching the weather forecast - apparently the
heatwave is going to become even hotter, particularly
    down South!

Hope it's quietened down up your way rose, wonder what
    that was all about!

On a different/serious note I was made aware t'other morning
    of the following _pale_ ....

There was a photo of the pony above the message, but it was
horrendous to see - so will not be posting it.

'Unfortunately we have to report that this was a HIT AND RUN.

The pony was hit sometime in the early hours of Thursday 19th
July along the old Lyndhurst Rd to Burley. It was not found until
    8.30am...

If it had been reported to 101 straight away this could have been
    dealt with immediately.

If you know something, you can report it anonymously. A reward
of up to £5000 if the driver is convicted.'

^^ This really makes me angry, upset, tearful :sad::cry:

What the hell is wrong with these people?! It seems to be
happening more & more! And as for leaving the poor creature(s)
to suffer ..... absolutely disgustingly cruel behaviour.

I've driven through the forest for years, always being extra
cautious, always sticking to the speed limit, slowing down for
horses, cattle, donkeys wandering along the roads etc. However
..... there's always one or two drivers who are just itching to
overtake, and they do! Unbelievable! Having said that, the
majority of drivers are a decent bunch who have my total
respect. Sadly ...... it only takes just one ..... :(

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ2I_FxyO94d3UYSt3rD1qLMA3aaw8OnKnnbihjXbne_DCG7C9d

I see car stickers are available with the following message:

New Forest Ponies Don't Dent. They Die

I ordered one yesterday - will be here in a day or so.

I'll display it on my rear window for all to see, including the
impatient drivers who seem to have no respect for man or
    beast. _pale_

    Apologies for rant. :(

Back to the heatwave - I've never been so up to date with
comps as I am at the moment! It's too hot to do anything
much in the garden, apart from the evening (watering etc).

So today will be no different! ecrire-ordi.gif

Still think that the comping fairy has mislaid my
    address! :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a lovely & relaxing Sunday all, take care.
