Hello
I have read the stickies but i am a little confused

Today the driver parked in my local free train Car Park in a space big enough for the car but not designated as a car space when the driver returned they had a paper My Parking Charge notice left on the car. I dont think its indigo. It looks like as normal my parking charge paper ticket that other people have posted

I understand the rules are different as it is the railway car Park. And the car was parked incorrectly as it wasn't a proper car parking space.

Is it worth protesting the charge? Or should I just pay?

I will wait for the ticket in the post anyway and won't log in to the website.

Many thanks In advance

Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!

Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

edit your post above, the DRIVER has done blah blah on the day

NEVER admit to liability, so again, edit your post

wait for an NTK in the post, then appeal as keeper, same as INDIGO and APCOA railway tickets

no blabbing about who was driving, only a FOOL does that

You should win at POPLA providing you don't blab as to who was driving.

Railway land isn't relevant land in order to transfer liability to the registered keeper. If you read other POPLA appeals and put in not relevant land you will win.

unfortunately this is a MY PARKING CHARGE ticket which is VCS usually (or possibly EXCEL) so there will be NO POPLA available, but the 6 month timeout will apply, so slowly slowly, go for a timeout

With a 'myparkingcharge' ticket on the windscreen, this sounds like a VCS or Excel charge, for which POPLA won't be available.

But let's see who it is when the NtK arrives in a few days time.

Please confirm that this is a car park belonging to a railway station. In other words owned by the train company or Network Rail, and not someone else's car park next to a station.

If it's part of the railway it will be covered by railway byelaws, but we need you to confirm this please.

It is a card with a code asking to log into a website

I'm sure the parking belongs to the railway. However it's a small station which has never charged for parking .
