Places to eat in Brighton?

Hey all, just wondering if anyone can recommend any hidden gems in Brighton?
We're visiting there in May for the Fringe Festival, and have accommodation in Kemp Town near St Mary's Church - with no breakfast, so anywhere near there that does a nice light breakfast would be especially helpful! Looking for every meal though, and will be darting around all over Brighton to catch things going on. I'm a veggie, my partner is not, so places that cater to both of us are appreciated. Cheap and cheerful, or fairly priced and fairly lavish - we'll probably have a nice meal out at some point in our stay.
Thanks in advance!

Bagelman is nice for breakfast or snacks. Assorted locations in Brighton http://bagelman.co.uk/
To really indulge then you need to visit Choccywoccydodah in the Lanes... https://www.choccywoccydoodah.com/brighton/
Hope that helps...Lurking in a galaxy far far away...0 -

Thanks for the suggestions, we'll check out Donatello for sure! I'm convincing the other half to go veggie for a meal and trying out Food For Friends too - we love bao buns, so it wasn't too much of a hard sell. We're off this weekend, so I'm just giving this a little bump in case anyone else has any suggestions - there are SO many to pick from, I'm a bit overwhelmed!0
