Amazon delivery showing delivered but not received 5th Nov 19 at 11:57 AM
I have an order via an Amazon seller which is showing as tracked and delivered by Royal Mail at 10.19 on 31 October. I was at home at the time and there was no card through the door. I searched outside my property and asked the neighbours but not sign of the item. I contacted the seller who told me to contact Royal Mail which I did on 1 November. They took details and said they would contact the local sorting office for investigation, who would telephone me. If the item is not located they could give me a letter to send to Amazon for a refund.

Does this sound correct? I haven't heard anything yet though I suppose I am still in the 72 hour timescale. Do I need to do anything else?

    Thanks

Just contact Amazon on the online chat and ask for refund. Don't bother with RM they will give you the run around.

I've had the same issue recently.

For reasons that I'll leave to Amazon, they sent a Prime order out on Saturday morning via Tracked 24. Now you don't need to be all that switched on to understand that that won't arrive on Saturday, the same day.

This evening, at 7:46PM it was supposedly delivered by Royal Mail, it wasn't or course.

Thankfully Amazon refunded me yesterday and gave me a fiver for not doing what they said they would, but yeah. They seem to have really dropped the ball over the weekend.

Well Amazon responded very quickly and offered a refund. I'm not sure how that works for them with the seller but it's fine with me. Thanks for the tip not to faff around with Royal Mail.

I think it's third party sellers who tend to use Royal Mail. I've had 2 deliveries using them in the last 3 days and had issues with both of them

The first said delivered online, no package and no card. When you track order it said it was ready for collection from delivery office. When collected the counter staff told me they don't card for Amazon deliveries

The second marked as delivered but wasn't (low value so refunded straight away by Amazon)
