That is a nice scarf! Am glad you both persisted :)

Today I bought a cast iron Victorian umbrella stand for £15, am very pleased with it. (And a book for £1).

Love the Julian of Norwich quote btw. Amazing woman!
Starts to regret not buying the Penguin paperback I spotted in a chazzer last autumn. Am pretty certain I won't see it again :o

Hope is not a strategy :D...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

    I'm not. :(
I now have even more serious scarf envy. ;)

Sorry - no idea of the origin but it does look lovely.
I rejected 2 100% silk scarves in our local hospice shop:
1 because it was a square and I can't seem to get them to look right, the other because of the colour.

    Ha!

Scarves are one thing I never seem to donate to charity shops so I now have a massive collection. After all they don't really wear out and they don't mind in the slightest if you lose or gain weight! Styles, shapes and colours don't seem to go in and out of fashion either and they don't take up much room, (ahem). I like to buy one as a useful souvenir when I go travelling so lots of my scarves have happy memories attached to them. I always have room for another tho if a nice one pops up in a chazza.:)
