Sorry for quick post but just had to say welcome back LL.:A

evuka: Yes the sleeves are long. fortunately I have long arms so it's not a problem for me plus the fabric is so light and soft that it falls back from your hands when you move them. Sleeves definitely didn't get in the way when I was eating!:D

  • Hello Ladies,

Welcome back LL, I am glad you had such a good time on your cruise and did not break any bones in the inclement weather. It is good to be 'hearing' your voice once again. I can guarantee that once our hold your grandson in your arms for the 1st time you will fall in love with him and he with you and you will forget that you ever wanted a granddaughter. :D

Welcome Sam I hope you get inspiration from everyone on here and vice versa :D

SUgarbaby.........I really did not mind about whether the baby is a boy or girl. After all a healthy and happy child is far more important. It is just that I had boys myself so a granddaughter would have been a bonus is all. I shall adore having another baby boy to play with again, especially if he takes after his dad (my son).

Of course there is always that little niggle at the back of my mind about whether or not there was a genetic reason for my husbands illness. So far my sons are ok .........but alas there are no guarantees and I cannot help but worry, both about them and any sons they might have. However we cannot change the hand we are dealt, we just have to hope and worrying will not change anything. .

I have been reading up about the dental work I need. There is a lot to think about so I am going to take my time and not be rushed into making any final decisions. And I shall of course shop around!!! We have plenty of dentists and specialist clinics in our city.

When we had our apartment in Spain it had always been my plan to have the work done there because it is a bit cheaper but now that the EUro is more or less at parity with sterling there is not much in it, especially as I would have to factor in travel costs and hotels so I will stick with the UK.

I will just have to really streeeeetch those pennies now. I have today ordered my glucosamine and vitamins online so saved a bit there. And I studiously avoided looking at the clothes in Sainsburys, even though they have their 25% offers at the moment. ;) no more new clothes for the foreseeable future. Actually I was very good on holiday. I did not spend all of my allocated spending budget, so that can go towards the tooth fund.

Have had quite a lazy day today so I feel nicely rested now. However, I really need to get my a@@ in gear tomorrow so I shall bid you all goodnight.

Ok here we go.......time to get serious.

Diet begins to day........need to lose 2stone 8lbs (minimum). Have set a target for Christmas.

Have booked first dental assessment for next Monday, breast cancer screening for Friday and massage for Thursday. They are giving me a facial for free as a loyalty reward. Wahoo.

I have checked my blood sugars this morning.....they are ok, but hovering on the edge of full blown diabetes again at 6.5. Determined to get them below 6.00 ASAP. So absolutely no grains, starchy carbs, sugars, chocolate or alcohol until then.

Lovely day here, hoping to go for a walk later after my amazon delivery of my vitamins and glucosamine.

Washing machine working overtime and need to finish unpacking today. Slept well and feel much less tired today. Still sore and achey muscles from the journey home......hours hunched up in a coach and lugging heavy cases around but hopefully the massage will sort me out,

Time for some brunch and then get cracking.

    Have a great day,

LL my MIL is going to embark on some expensive dental work, costing tens of thousands of pounds. It!!!8217;s allegedly cheaper to get it done in Europe, but as you said, cost wise, it may not be any cheaper.

    Welcome to the thread.

I hope your pedicure went well. I have a micro pedi and use it a lot. You can get replacement rollers cheaply on eBay.
