    Seconding Monna Karcher - if it does turn into flu this one is really nasty so please make sure someone knows you are ill as you may need help.

    I've just dropped back in to see what's what and realise that half my post got lost between me clicking submit and the post arriving on the forum. That's never happened before.
    I really can't remember what I wittered on about so that deathless prose is lost for ever.

    Karcher I agree with the stay home, stay warm advice. There seem to be 2 versions of the flu doing the rounds. Fingers crossed that you have the mild one. The HT also heralds every illness with a stomach ache.

    Deep snow here, been on all day. Village is deathly quiet, think the A7 must be closed - saw a van on it's roof in a field earlier. All neighbours who work are home early, school is shut and it feels like xmas lol. Very peaceful.

    mar, I envy you. Snowed in, everything peaceful, a break in routine for the workers and schoolchildren, no one can expect you to go anywhere or do anything, you have every excuse to cosy yourselves up indoors and enjoy that stillness and quiet that a snowfall brings. Wonderful. Except for the owner of the upside-van perhaps.
