Integrated fridge freezer 60/40 or 70/30?

in In my home (includes DIY) MoneySaving
Need to buy an integrated fridge freezer & do not know whether there was a 60/40 or 70/30 there before, the top fridge unit door is 120cm & the bottom freezer unit door is 71.5cm would this be a 60/40 or 70/30?

    60/40. overall its 191.5cm so take the percentages into consideration and it can only be the 60/40.

    Ok are you absolutely 100% sure it would be a 60/40? Sorry just want to make sure I buy the right one as I keep hearing different stories on these 60/40 & 70/30 fridge freezer sizes.

    What exactly are you trying to achieve? Is it integrated and you need to attach the existing integrated kitchen doors? In which case, the spec of the fridge freezer you are looking at should tell you what size the doors are.

    The 60/40 or 70/30 generally refers to the capacity more than just the door height. So it does rather depend on the internal set-up of the fridge-freezer as well.

    Which stories are these ?


    Have you measured some appliance and they match up with the sizes you mentioned in your first post.

    Does the current fridge kitchen door extend approx. 100mm above the actual fridge appliance door? A quick look on the likes of Appliances Online etc. shows a typical integrated 60/40 fridge-freezer to have a 731mm freezer door and a 1031mm fridge door...

    I need to buy an integrated fridge freezer & do not know what was there before to compare it to, the top unit door is 120cm & bottom unit door is 71.5cm.

    I haven't measured an appliance just the space & door sizes above to work out which to look for a 60/40 or 70/30.

    I don't know as there is no appliance there to measure it against which is what I'm trying to work out which appliance to buy based off the sizes of the unit doors.

    There are 3 sizes it's pretty much universal across kitchen ranges and FF manufacturers. 50/50, 60/40 and 70/30.


    50/50 is obvious, 60/40 there isn't a lot in it, but 70/30 you can easily spot as the difference in size is obvious.
