https://www.gov.uk/child-benefit-16-19When your child leaves approved education or training payments will stop at the end of February, 31 May, 31 August or 30 November (whichever comes first).
Apply for an extension
You could get Child Benefit for 20 weeks (called an ‘extension’) if your child leaves approved education or training and either:- ...................
- signed up to join the armed forces
Non-advanced education includes:- an ordinary national diploma;
- a national diploma or national certificate of Edexcel;
- GCSEs;
- A-levels (AS and A2 levels) or similar qualifications;
- Scottish highers or group awards
- NVQ Level 3
- Traineeships as part of the 16-19 Study programmes in England.
If training is provided to the young person because of their employment, it cannot count as approved training.0 -
My son came there nice a few years ago so I will not write anymore as it was because it certainly changed, but I learned directly because you can often pull up the relief0
