Ah! What is the sort code and account number to set up the SO please. Is it one of those where you enter your account number as the reference?
Yes. The account number and sort code are displayed on the website
https://www.monbs.com/products/regular-saver-bond/
Click where it says "Making deposits and withdrawals"
Account Name: Monmouthshire Building Society
Sort Code: 40-05-30
Account Number: 14576608
Reference: XXXXXXXXXX (no spaces or hyphens - this is the Monmouthshire Building Society account number you wish to credit).I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0 -
Mmm... I heard at the beginning of the month that Virgin Money would be sending letters to notify a rate increase to 2.5% for the earlier issues of the branch regular savers.0

I didn't apply until this week as we have been away but I got my form back the next day and I then sent off the cheque the same day. So hopefully my account will be fully functional from September 3rd which is good enough.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Given the pittance that 2.3% offers interest wise, I can't see how its economic timewise to make appointments for this, for either the customer or the bank.
Just can't see how anyone can get exited about a below inflation savings rate that over the duration loses money.
Its not money saving, its money wasting as far as I can see, even if you don't value your time. What am I missing?
Another polemic on the subject of time-wasting.
Ironic, or what?0 -

Just received a letter from MBS advising of the (expected) removal of the 1% bonus rate after the first 12 months in mid September.0 -

Yes you can have both. I have Nottingham's Regular Saver Issue 2 and the Sunshine Regular Saver.0 -

Thank you to surreysaver.
