Hi Investment Return?

Hi, I currently have £120 000 to invest. I had some of this money tied up in property but due to my health, I cannot maintain these properties anymore.
I met a guy once who invested money into the stock market, and other world markets and provided a guaranteed income from investments. Some of these guarantees were actually quite high. (but this was many years ago)
I was getting a 12% return on this money in the past, (although that was unstable) is there any other way I can achieve the same results? I am quite happy to leave the money in an account for 5+ years, or maybe even more than a decade. I would prefer a monthly return, but I would consider a yearly return if I can achieve the high ROI.
I am not particularly experienced with financial matters, and unfortunately I lost contact with the financial investor many years ago.

You can find another Independent Financial Adviser.
12%? Not without an unacceptably high level of risk?
Input your location and tick confirmed independent and any other areas of interest.

Norwich and Peterborough Building Society (now absorbed into Yorkshire Building Society) were fined and forced to compensate customers for mis-selling. I'm pretty sure some of the products mis-sold were "bonds" that offered a "guaranteed" income derived from stock market returns: https://www.theguardian.com/money/2011/apr/18/norwich-peterborough-mis-selling-fine-fsa
These products were sold by a company called Keydata that eventually went bankrupt https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10273314
I invested in one of their products but but fortunately the term finished whilst Keydata was still solvent so I got the return that was promised. I consider myself very fortunate and the guy you met once should do likewise. This type of "guaranteed income" investment became discredited and is no longer available, AFAIK.Reed0 -
OP, there are simply no investments available that could deliver a secure 12% return with possibly one exception.
If you were to invest in index-linked bonds from a government (UK, US, Australia, ...) and if inflation exceeded 12% then you'd probably get a return of 12% or better. But of course the "real" return would be far less - in fact, if you paid tax on the income your real return would be negative.Free the dunston one next time too.0
