Just Eat is the worst company ever.

Just Eat is an extremely disgusting company.

They make millions of profits by inflating the takeaway prices and manipulating them so that all takeaway shops have the same prices which are increased regularly.

They are also a monopoly as I do not think there are any other companies we can order from.

Is there a way to bypass these horrendous people and also is there a government service to see that they use monopoly practices?

I would like to order by phone but the problem is that Just Eat has employed their own drivers and you cannot just phone the restaurant. Also, I do not want to pay in cash.

PS: no thick comments 'cook at home' etc please

    Cook in a tent?
  • Walk to takeaway and collect the food?

Use another delivery service as they are not a monopoly.

Not aware that takeaway shops have the same prices, they certainly don't round my way.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

You need to cast your net wider - there are half a dozen in my immediate area and only two are on the Just Eat list.
Never pay on an estimated bill

    Okay to address your concerns.

    1. They are not a monopoly. There are many other food delivery companies.

    2. You 100% can just call the restaurant and order. What do you think is stopping you? Many of my local ones offer discount if you order direct as it saves them the JustEat fee, but they do appreciate the JustEat advertising boost.

    3. JustEat has zero control over the prices of the food, and the food prices are not all the same.

    4. I do not come from a large city but I have never seen a JustEat employee driver. They are all drivers employed by the restaurant. How on Earth would a just eat driver even work? They have so many places? This sounds more like how Deliveroo works...

Anyway, all your points are wrong. No idea where you are getting half of your ideas from as they simple aren’t correct.

If only there were takeaways that did their own delivery. Imagine if you could order, let's say, a pizza and the company themselves delivered it.

This having to use a middle man really shouldn't be necessary.

Seriously, what did you do before just eat came along? You do know your local take always will also have their own delivery service too, right?

I take it the username came before the delivery?
