Commute zone 1-2 to Leatherhead

Hi all,
I live in London Peckham and am starting a new job this week for which I need to commute 4 days a week to Leatherhead. Does anyone have any advice on the most cost effective way to do so?
I am looking into a season ticket Peckham-Leatherhead but since I won't always be travelling to the same London station and want to have the freedom to travel around within zone 1-2 as well, I'm not sure this is the best option for me.
I'm new to commuting outside of London so would appreciate any advice!
Thanks,
Steffi

Probably you should get a Leatherhead to London Zones 1-6 Weekly Travelcard, which is £82.80 for 7 days, and then prorata for more days. You can buy a 7 day ticket or from 1 month to any number of days up to a year.
An Anytime Day Travelcard is £24.20 so the season makes sense for 4 or more days. As a season ticket this gives you complete flexibility to and from Leatherhead and the boundary of zone 6, and all over zones 1 to 6 as much as you like.0
