The 'Save 12k in 2013' Thread!

Just done my final update of the year - £1210 for October, November and December.
Ended the year with over £13k still in savings accounts. However some of this money will be eventually spent on the new double glazing we had done in October that we still haven't been billed for!
Added photos to show what the savings will be spent on...
Old front door:
New front door:
Next stop... new bathroom.
I won't be joining in for 2014. DH has decided he needs a new job and has handed in his notice. He wanted to finish in December but they asked him to stay on till the end of February so from March onwards I have no idea what our income will be. We can live on my wage alone but not really save much if it comes to that.
Good luck to everyone who is participating in 2014!!CC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2023 £119450.872024 MFW #450 -

Thanks! We are pleased with the final result - I'd just like to pay for it so I know what funds I have for the bathroom.
Just remembered I've got to add another £33.61 which was interest paid on our Halifax savings in December. :TCC Debt at LBM Nov 08 - £25000+ DFD Dec 2012Second DFD May 2021Starting my MFW journey: Opening Balance: £138,000; July 2019: £135107.33; July 2023 £119450.872024 MFW #450 -
