UKPC - Gallagher Retail Park, Dundee 30th Sep 13 at 12:39 PM
Just looking for the most up-to-date advice on this, appreciate any feedback.
Parking charge notice on windscreen this weekend whilst parked at Gallagher Retail Park, Dundee. Apparently there are signs (not immediately visable by any means) stating free parking for 2hrs as long as you display a !!!8216;free!!!8217; parking ticket. Car was parked for approx. 1hr, upon return the applied charge notice states 60.00 payable within 14 days or it starts going up. Should we ignore this and any further correspondance? BTW it wasn!!!8217;t the registered keeper driving. Thanks in advance.

My advice once again is to ignore the fine. The supposed 'parking offence' took place in Scotland, the fact your car is registered in England is of no consequence. It is probable that the car parking co. will apply to DVLA for your address and then the letters will eventually arrive. They will ask you for payment and threaten legal action etc. If you ignore these your details will be passed to a debt collection agency who will try to prize money out of you and state that your credit rating could be affected etc etc etc. I would recommend that you do not respond to any correspondence and the nasty letters will eventually stop arriving. As for receiving a phone call from a sheriff - that won't happen. I checked out the company of Gordon and Noble, Glasgow. Yes they carry out sheriff officer work but they are also DEBT COLLECTORS and the phone call received by MaxyChas about the 'parking problem' would have been from the debt collection side. IGNORE THE FINE Forfarnewbie!

Tickets being cancelled when you write to complain, if this was the Gallagher Retail park.
PRIVATE PCN? DON'T PAY BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT TWO Clicks needed for advice:

Advice to ignore is WRONG, unless in Scotland/NI.
