Wrong info from bank about chargeback?

I purchased 3 items online from same company, they arrived in 1 packaged damaged and refused to refund. I contacted bank and was told I must get independant reports on the items not working.

Is that right? Considering I told retailer straight away and they were this way upon arrival they didn't become faulty at a later date.

Used a debit mastercard.

    Hi,

Sorry, I do not have an answer for you. But just wanted to say that you have posted in the wrong forum. You should have posted on the credit card forum, where you will be advised on how the chargeback rules are meant to be applied, as that is where the people with this sort of knowledge hang out. I recommend you ask a mod or a board guide to urgently move your thread. Thanks and good luck! :)

Alternatively, just simply repost your question within the credit card forum.
