Anyone mention the Kweilin canotonese restaurant in Dundas Street?0

Been looking through this thread for ideas for an upcoming trip with my other half, can anyone recommend a scottish cuisine restaurant which isn't too expensive?0

Hello
Just thought I'd mention Howies - they have 4 locations around town see - http://www.howies.uk.com/. I've eaten there a few times and always enjoyed it and the staff were friendly. It's usually too expensive, but at the moment they're doing a two course lunch for 6.95. A bargain.0 -
Good place for afternoon tea is the Waverley Hotel, upstairs - half the price of the hotels and just as peaceful:)
Next to Lush on Princes StreetAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :rotfl: :rotfl: :mad:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
Ann Purna - Vegetarian Indian Restaurant - Family Owned.

I have been here and their dishes are very very good.
Kalpna - Vegetarian Indian Restaurant, multi-regional Indian
2-3 St Patrick Sq
Edinburgh
EH8 9EZ

They have dishes you cannot find in Edinburgh. A south Indian dish - Masala Dosa, can be found here for one example. Also, they celebrate festivals, I think I went on Divali and they gave us lots of Indian sweets. I have actually never had that before, very nice.
Kalpna and Ann Purna are actually across the road from each other!0 -
Just had a fantastic lunch at Thai Lemon Grass on Bruntsfield Place, we had the set lunch menu at £6.95 (you can order a la carte if you want to) and it was excellent value for money. The service is outstanding and whatever you order you must try their house soup... to die for.0

Khushis is brilliant...outstanding in my opinion...0

Forgive me if this has been covered already, but OH & I are actually getting the opportunity to dine OUT!!!! Why is it that food always (well, almost always) tastes better either cooked over a camp fire or by someone else?
So, looking into offers/discounts, etc., I found:

(not just Edinburgh)
