    Morning :wave:wave

    Missed yesterday's post :o

    I had a very late one at work like last night (it's that time of year:)) but I did get out for a long run before events started so that made good use of the time. 10k is the top end of my range these days and I was very tired by the end but doing it gave my confidence a boost. I've got a charity event soon so at least I know I can do it now:p
    In money news there was the last eBay payment and a tt so £7.47 to the os pot :)

    Other small steps to success included;

    Nsd

    Made appointment to discuss IFA's findings about my pensions

    Cheap healthy eats (porridge for breakfast,,lo for lunch and a freezer dive for dinner)

    4 bids on this week's eBay items

    DS finished his exams:j

    Happy Hump Day :)

    Evening :wave:

    I've had a day of thoughtless children (sadly my own) and it's left me feeling a little low:( Parenting can feel like a one way street sometimes. I'm going to get an early night and hope a feel a bit chripier in the morning.

    Other than that things have ticked along, work was good and apart from milk I had a nsd.

    Successes feel scarce today but I guess it's baby steps:p

    Drank enough water

    A long walk

    Requested £5.46 account rewards

    Got £1.50 cashback

    Hoovered downstairs

    Sorted out recycling ready for collection

    Happy Wednesday to you :):)

    Evening :wave:

    Steps to success today have been small indeed:o

    Did the food shop for £31.53

    Got some gift box bargains on rock bottom clearance at Aldi

    Hoovered the kitchen and the car mats

    Changed my bed and got it line dried

    Got my DD through a very difficult day:(

    Put a rocket under DS regarding some 'life laundry' which he has finally sorted out:p

    Wrote a report and finished double checking my writing assessments ready for tomorrow:eek:

    No exercise and not enough water drunk which probably accounts for the for the headache :o

    Literally all in so I'm off to bed :)

    Nearly Friday:j

    Thanks Wish :D

    Evening :wave:

    A much better day and not just because it's Friday (although that does help :p).
    The kids are back on form and the sun is shining :)

    I've managed a tt but have no other money news although it's rent day on Monday and payday on Thursday:j.

    Work went well and all teacher assessments were submitted on time so that's that:D. I've two reports to do this weekend and then I can concentrate on making it to the end of term and preparing for next year, which for various reasons means a total replan of everything:eek:

    Steps to success included;

    Drank enough water

    Rest day ready for long run this weekend

    Cheap healthy eats (porridge for breakfast, lo chickpea and spinach curry for lunch and seared tuna steak, creamy tomato pasta and salad for dinner.

    Laundry done ready to peg out tomorrow

    3 large tin granary loaves for 10p each:money: plus a small grocery spend totalling £3.18 on two cartons of juice and 6 zero sugar cans for ds to take with him this weekend in a bid to keep him away from sugary drinks:(

    Visited mum and dad

    Long phone chat :)

    I slept very badly last night as I always do when I've things on my mind but I'm hoping tonight will better:). Aiming for lights out at 10.30.

    Happy Friday to you:)

    PP - is it glorious and sunny where you are today?

    Summer is such a cheery time & just breathing in the crisp morning air does wonders to clear the cobwebs away.

    Hope you slept more soundly last night!

    Morning :wave:

    Missed another post yesterday:o. It was a good day though. Had some time with the kids before they went off and did their own thing which is always good followed by afternoon tea with my sister. She had a birthday voucher so the only cost was two extra coffees. I rarely eat out and it felt like such a treat:D. It was also yummy and enjoyed sat in the sunshine.
    On a more serious note I was able to talk through some challenges with my ex which I should have done years ago. He presents well and is prone to manipulation and I'm always left feeling that I can't discuss troubling things without looking bitter or churlish. I'm also not good at this as I always worry about about becoming that needy, miserable person that people avoid which has on occasions left me feeling isolated and a bit lonely :(:o:o . To compound the problem she's just not good at talking about personal stuff generally and has been a victim of his charm/woe/excuses offensive so this was a step forward. We are actually very close just rubbish at some of the emotional stuff so I hope this marks a small change in approach for both of us :). She was also lovely and a little surprised by some of the realities he's less keen to share so it felt good to finally discuss it.

    In money matters I transferred £33.57 current account surplus to my os pot and have 8 eBay items with bids :j

    Other small steps to success included;

    Laundry done, line dried and put away

    Lo for dinner as both kids were out

    Answered what felt like endless eBay questions:eek:

    Did a report - only one left :j

    40 mins weights

    Drank enough water but also too much coffee:eek:

    Bleached the discoloured bits of grout in the shower

    Read and watched a bit of tv

    Organised a free prom treat for ds which he'll love :)

    Today's to dos are;

    Long run :eek:

    Make a roast dinner - family time :):)

    Make pie filling and pastry for later in the week

    Visit mum and dad

    Have a chunk of down time :)

    Happy Sunday to you:)

    Hello PP, my word, you've been going through a lot - as people have said above, when you basically have your life in balance, it makes it more do-able. Hope you're okay, and we're nearly at the end of the month :)
