    Yeah, it's high.

I thought I'd posted earlier, but 2 men for five weeks non stop is a bit excessive! It's a pretty straightforward job.

Thanks Doozergirl - I did think that 50 days labour was a bit high for the 12m square garage conversion as there doesn't appear to be any major works required - but then what do I know.

How long would you think would be a reasonable amount of time to complete project then? Does it help that the Garage already has a separate consumer unit off the main consumer unit with a separate lighting ring and socket ring already?

Maybe I'm in cloud cuckoo land but I was thinking closer to the 10K +VAT mark?

Anyone else had a straightforward garage conversion and would like to share cost?

    Many thanks

The last one I did was about 7 years ago and that came to a tad over £11000. This didn't include any BC Fees (about £400 if I remember rightly) but it did include electrics. The PC sums for plumbers and electricians seem a bit heavy. Some of his material coats are very high.

However, I think your suggestion of £10k plus vat is optimistic. My gut feeling is probably about £14k inc vat.
