Clarity credit card question

I got a Halifax Clarity Credit card as MSE recommended it for foreign spending. The info. leaflet says 2.95% fee for using it abroad; card charged in local currency but statement in sterling; Halifax use Mastercard exchange rate. My query is the following- Isn't 2.95% fee on every purchase expensive? I thought it was free and you simply paid the debt on getting home. Many thanks in advance.

Sorry, i just read the small print - the 2.95% fee applies the all in one credit card, not the Clarity card - which has no fee.0

Are you sure it's a Clarity card? Is it blue? Other Halifax cards appear to be black.
2.95% appears to be the fee Halifax charges customers of other (not Clarity) cards.
If you do have a Clarity card, my guesses are that they're sent you the wrong leaflet or the leaflet is generic.0
