To use Guineapigsqueaks/my own wording, "A new thread for declutterbugs in [STRIKE]2015 2016 2017[/STRIKE] 2018!"
I'm going to aim to get rid of 2018 items in 2018.
There are some lovely tips on the KonMari thread here, set up by the talented Slinky: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5681824
Of particular note is post 4 of where you can get rid of unwanted items:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=69806488&postcount=4
Welcome one and all and happy decluttering!

I'll be aiming to declutter as much as possible this year as we're hoping to do a lot of home improvement in 2018! It was all put on hold in 2017 as we got married this year confines were focussed on that.
Good luck to everyone decluttering this year!Every act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

I'm in again - most likely with end-of-month round ups, as before.
We're not *too* bad with general clutter, having KM-ed everywhere at least once - and I can certainly see results. However, with 4 children it's an ongoing thing and some bad habits have crept back in. Plus we're having our kitchen re-modelled Jan/ Feb, so I think that will throw up some more stuff to go. I shall aim for 2018 in 2018... let's see how it goes!

Another one here who'd like to be in for this, please. I have decluttered quite a lot in 2017 but I know there's more to go!
Not sure if I'll make the 2018 items but I'll give it a darn good try. Will start on Jan 1st and probably post at the end of each week.Be kind to others and to yourself too.0 -
I'm up for this. I'm trying to get rid of junk on Ebay, how does the saying go, one man's trash is another man's treasure, but unfortunately it doesn't sell as quickly as I'd like and I'm reluctant to give it away when I can make ££ with it.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

I feel the same and relist my items, occasionally reducing the price. I sometimes find that shifting them from an auction to a B-I-N also works - for some things people seem to prefer an 'immediate' purchase.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

I always have my items on BIN, I'm of the view that if people want it they want it now, well in a few days once it gets to them, rather than possibly waiting 20 days for the auction to end. Also they may forget to bid so I'm happy to just keep relisting BIN until it sells, someone will buy it eventually. It's the eventually I'm struggling with tho, I currently have over 150 items listed and despite selling over 100 items over the past two months the house doesn't seem any emptier :eek:Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
