Cost of living loan different for siblings

Is there any reason why siblings are being offered different cost of living loans? Both are at Uni outside of London, both doing undergraduate study, both have had the same household income assessment and both had the same loan amounts last year but this year the loans vary by over £500.
Anyone who knows why that would be?
Thanks

Because the first childs support, is taken into account when assessing the second childs entitlement.0

£1130 is deducted from the household income for another dependent. So the second student's loan is calculated on the lesser income.
It may be that last year the lesser income came into the same income band but this year it falls into a different band.
You could phone Student Finance and ask them why the difference0 -
Or one of them has extra weeks of their course in comparison to the other, which is most likely why there's the difference in loan amounts.0
