i looking to buy travel insurance,but i brought the flight with avios, but i need to include it just incase, i can not get back from oz

Very clever!
A standard clause in travel insurance policies is that they do not pay out for the loss of flights that were purchased with Miles, Avios and similar points. The OP was asking whether anyone had found a particular and unusual form of cover: a link to a generic guide to travel insurance is not helpful.0 -
I thought you could take out insurance with Avios as was for the cover for your points?0

Apologies, I hadn't realised that was the case.
Going back to the original question, American Express travel insurance may still continue to provide cover for Airmiles purchases.0
