Keep Moving Challenge for 2018

Hope you don't mind if I join.
I've seen a challenge called "Walk to Mordor" and want to try and achieve this. However, I don't think I'll be able to walk there and back in 2018 as it's 3664 miles (5862.4 km) and this year I've hit 2376.54km according to my Fitbit.
My goal for 2017 was a yearly total of 3,650,000 steps (an average of 10k a day) and as of yesterday I was on 3,691,259 cumulative steps (10253 average).
Very pleased to have risen from a cumulative of 3,569,786 steps in 2016, but want to take it further.
So my initial goal is to walk the distance from Hobbiton to Mount Doom in 2018 and destroy the one ring!
1779 miles (2846.40 km)
My biggest challenge? Remembering to charge my Fitbit so it doesn't die on me halfway through the day and I miss out on valuable steps :rotfl:Debts (as of 28/10/15)

Count me in. I am not sure what my targets will be this coming year but aiming for 1000 miles in 2017 was a motivating challenge - I have less than 10 left to do in the last 3 days. A succession of injuries have made it more challenging than I expected - one goal for 2018 is to avoid injury! I have averaged 10,900 steps a day so I would like that to top 11,000 next year.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

I am aiming to walk 1500 miles in 2018. It isn't as many as some of you are aiming to do, but I have only started walking again in the last few months and am still building up my fitness. I also have a neurological disorder which means I have to be careful not to overdo it!
I'm thoroughly enjoying walking again and I think this challenge will be very motivating.0 -
I don't have any gadget-y devices, so I can't really join in on distances. But I'll aim to run 5k at least 52 times over the year, with a mixture of ParkRuns and solo runs.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

I would like to join in too, I've been a bit lazy of late and thought a challenge to walk 1000mls in a year would be the thing to get me moving.0

I'm aiming for 8000 steps a day, once I get into a routine of this upping it as the year goes on.0
