I would have thought the OnePlus would come with some sort of music playing software, like your Samsung did.
Anyway, you could try Google Play Music, which likes to try to play your music from the cloud, but you can get it to store playlists on your phone, and switch to 'downloaded only' to use it as a traditional (as in, not using your data!) music player. I've also used CloudPlayer/DoubleTwist which I like. If you want to go old school, I believe you can still get WinAmp for Android!

JetAudio is my favorite of Android users because it has enough features to be better than most, but still simple enough for everyone to use. It has a price 4USD to download from google play store

jetAudio HD Music Player is actually free to download from the Play Store, although it contains "ads + in-app purchases".

There is jetAudio HD Music Player Plus which, in the UK, costs £3.79 to download.

    +1

Poweramp is one of the best apps I have found.

Copy the files from your computer to your phone and play them as you see fit.

Good quality and equalization if you want that.
