Do Skipton still use Call Credit?

Hi could anybody tell me if Skipton building society still solely use call credit for mortgage checks or has it changed now?

Thanks.

I intend to ask them when I have the chance to ring.

I need to know because my Call Credit is up to date and perfect along with Equifax, but Experian is a load of rubbish, but that's Experian fault in the way they present our information.
  • How do you mean?

What is or isn't on your Experian report that differs from the others?

Since they changed the default and satisfied dates on our accounts (we were doing the credit file clean up) they put the update date as the date they updated the account which had the effect of the default balance be carried through past the satisfied date in 2014 to February this year.

Its happened on 6 lenders with Experian. They should have put the update date as the 17th June 2014 which was our discharge from bankruptcy date, not the date we asked them to correct our files.

Equifax and Call Credit have the same information and they changed the update date to 2014 even though they did the update in February this year.

I know that all sounds very confusing but its a nightmare that Experian are aware of.
  • So you've raised this as a dispute with Experian?

Yep, and with the lenders too, but both blaming each other. Financial ombudsman has told them to get it changed.

Will end up having to go to the information commissioner i think.

That's why I would rather use a lender that doesn't use Experian as it save the hassle

I am in a similar boat.
My Experian reports arrears, but the others do not.
