Hi, I would like to join in this month, thanks for organising it! I kept a note of food/household spend for last month (including takeaways) and this was £550 so would like my budget to be £500 for January please. Hopefully I can start batch cooking etc. to reduce this gradually throughout the year....Sealed pot challenge - 12 - #0040

Hi guys.. Have dipped in and out over the last few years, needing to be more frugal and go back to a set budget.. I've always been more of a reader than contributor, life tends to get in the way a little, that said, this year I shall make a concerted effort to be present!
So here I am, please put me down for £350 to cover January! (Myself, 2x large teenage boys & 2 fur babies)

Hi everyone. First timer here. I would like to put forward a budget of £50 for groceries for one person plus another occasional (SWMBO usually chooses to fend for herself. Maybe next month!). This is groceries and minimum toiletries 1st-31st Jan. Toiletries, cat food, alcohol and date nights come from a separate pot.Mortgage free by 33 - (21/07/22 - 32 years and a bit...)
Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)0 -
£4.67 spent today. Won't be shopping until Thursday and then I can deduct the total from my monthly spend. There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0
