Karcher - make sure you get appropriate advice. Regardless of the fact that you think you have no rights, bullying and harrassment in the workplace are unacceptable and there are routes to deal with them.

Burtha - I get where you are coming from with the running, but just make sure you stay safe. I can't go out in the middle of the night as we have no pavements or streetlights. And when I'm away for work in places that do have pavements and streetlights I don't know the area well enough to know that it's safe. I'm also a poor sleeper, and know that it gets to the point where I'm so exhausted that it impacts on my ability to think and make sound judgements, so try to work on ways to rest even if you can't sleep - I do sleep better when I run regularly, but also find that a nighttime routine of trying to get to bed at the same time every night, and starting that routine with a long soak in an epsom salt bath reading a book helps too.

Fuddle - stay with the butter -all natural! My old doctor told me years ago butter in moderation is far better than any processed spread. The only thing I sometimes buy is the spreading butter - Liddly do a nice one as its butter and a percentage of rapeseed oil to make it spread more easily. Did try the Aldee one but too soft as the oil percentage is higher. HTH

fuddle, Benecol has plant extracts that lower bad cholesterol. Do you have high bad cholesterol? If so try the Benecol. It's a bit expensive so don't let the rest of the family use it if they don't need it.

From reading your posts I don't actually think that is your problem. A few things to try are, increase your omega 3 oils, oily fish, twice a week or, if you don't like that try having more seeds. Seeded bread is good but I think you are avoiding bread so occasional snacks of lots of different seeds, but not too many. You could also try taking a fish oil supplement. Don't buy it online thy often has less in them than they claim or not even have any. Buy an own brand like Wilko's.

Don't do anything until you have all the information you need. A nurse Practitioner who specialises in heart diseases is probably best to see. That's probably who you will see most often once they have you settled on regular appointments. Do as they tell you. Taking up some gentle exercise like ti chi may be good too.

So my beloved and I decided to go for a walk along the towpath. We walked together from one lock to the next.
How come when we checked our phone apps he had walked for 39 minutes yet I'd only walked for 11 minutes.
Anyway at one of the locks we met up with the people who are buying our engine, we had the controls panel with us that was replaced when our new engine was installed, so we were able to pass it across to them. One less piece of clutter on the boat.
    Chin up, Titus out.

    Afternoon all

Probably somewhat misguidedly, we are having friends to dinner tonight. Misguided because we still have two rooms out of action and the majority of their contents strewn around the house. But it is more than our turn and we felt that better to warn them of the chaos but still invite them, than not see them

So I have kept it simple. this is quite :rotfl: as there is still A LOT of food. I have made a lasagne and 2 puds, with antipasti to start and a cheese board to follow. I have conceded to bought hummus though ;):o

I'm supposed to be working before the family come back to continue the prep - but I don't seem to have any concentration
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Do it, life is too short. No point saving for a rainy day when who knows what tomorrow will bring.

Rightly or wrongly I have responded (justifiably so) to the abuse I received the other day...I may be unemployed by Monday but I feel better for stating my case and not allowing someone to walk all over me. Really who do these people think they are?

I am knackered and was going to bed an hour ago but my head won't let me rest. Too many injustices in this world and I can not fathom why hurting others can ever make some happy, but clearly it does.

I don't understand it and could not bear to cause anyone any hurt.

    I'll shut up now...sorry x

I know I am new to this thread but have reasonable knowledge of workplace legislation. Feel free to pm me if you want to share or just need to off load

I am now in my 6th week of sickness as the owner just went too far with his criticism of my role. Kept saying it was not personal but the role is mine so therefore me

I am not planning a return :T but will take advice from ACAS after another couple of months so I get it right

    Take care

fuddle I hadn't thought of waving to them as they went past :D the curtains are drawn now, but maybe tomorrow. OH uses Flora Pro-activ "Buttery" spread; he's on statins as well though. He stopped the statins for several months to see if he felt better without them (I don't think he found it made any difference), but his cholesterol started rising again, so the GP told him it'd be better to start taking them again. So presumably the spread isn't helping that much!

Have a lovely evening VJsmum. I agree, good idea to invite them while things are a bit chaotic :)

You're right cholesterol isn't the problem. I don't eat bread now and by default I don't eat.much butter so I'll keep the real stuff silvasava. It didn't sit right with me really. I have a heart nurse NM. I see her again in April. She's fab and actually it's down to her that I know the valve is working ok now. She wasn't prepared to take an 18month old echo as gospel for a new set of issues. I have her card and can ring for an appointment at any time and that in itself has a calming effect on me.

NM I love mackerel with salad. I have flax seeds in a smoothie and I munch on pumpkin and sunflower seeds. I probably should look at a fish oil supplements because I should eat more fish really.

It was well worth a mention. As always, you've helped me think a bit clearer. Thank you.

I'd always stick with pure and natural butter instead of any man made spread. Less ingreds in any food the better.
I'm having a bloody nightmare with my gp and consultant and BP and meds but I can't be assed going into it all here. Just please make allowances if I am terminally ratty lol
