regarding the teenage grunting phase it goes in much longer than just teens - what annoys me is that they can't speak to any other adults but they can spend hours texting, face timing, snap chatting, messaging their mates - the same ones they have probably spent all day with at college/uni/school/work etc

I've had a weekend like this with my three, all mid 20s - despite their mobiles clamped to their anatomies day and night - none of them have bothered to be in touch over the weekend - not one single FB message, FaceTime, a text or a call.
I tried messaging the youngest on Sunday, just the usual how are you doing and what have you got planned message.
I got 2 words and a picture back

    paperwork
    ride
picture of what he had bought in wilkos

I asked was it lesson planning for the upcoming week, had he planned a new bike route, what were the Wilkos folders for ....
    no response

of course first thing this morning eldest son was messaging as he wanted copies if his bank statements (he sorted this out himself) and errant son wanted me to ring Admiral about his car insurance ...

oh well I suppose any communication is better than non and I can't really complain - at least non of mine are going to live on a boat in Cambodia and be out of touch for weeks or months ...

Good Morning all its a lovely day here for once eh Nellie.

Nellie and I are off to Southport for the day on Wednesday. We get there about 10 I think. So if anyone fancies a meet . I know Ellie14 was interested :)

Sorry I cant make it, one of my working days :(
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)
