Wishing on an ickle star

After lurking on other peoples diaries for a year I've decided to see if having my own diary will make a difference!

Our circumstances have changed over the last few months which is making overpaying a whole lot more tricky but that's part of the fun....isn't it? I'll explain more about that later I'm sure - don't want to bore any readers in my first post!!! :o

My dream would be to pay off our mortgage by my DH's next big birthday (Sept 2018) but that would mean working some miracles so I'm looking towards mine instead (Aug 2020)!

Hopefully with help from all of the other lovely MFW's on here and some of the amazing diaries I am subscribed to that target will be hit!

Wish me luck!!

    Good Luck!

I have just started lurking on these boards after having a LBM about our mortgage and have just arranged on line access to our mortgage account so we can start to do OP.

I will subscribe and watch with interest!

Hi Fothers  Thanks for subscribing!

Really busy week for me but looking forward to April when things calm down at work!

Things I must do this week:
    - sort out home broadband/telephone package and pay line rental up front
    - decide what to do with personal pension (this may take longer than a week!)
    - arrange for my dad to have DD one day next week so I can go car shopping :D
    - money shuffling and update spreadsheets
    - get packaging sorted for the eb@y items that are selling
    - try and find some me time . . . .(not holding my breath for this one) :(

Thanks Tilly and Thistle - all help and encouragement will be greatly appreciated!!! I hope this diary will help me focus more - although just lurking on the boards over the past year has been amazing. :T

Quite happy with what I've managed today. Also been to @ldi for this weeks shop (with newspaper vouchers) - looked like the predicted snow has caused some panic buying as milk was non existant!! S&S done ready for upload later.

Ebay - 12 items listed, 3 selling, 4 more being watched - fingers crossed there'll be some more activity before Saturday afternoon :D

Hope the snow doesn't cause anyone too many issues over the weekend!!

Well done, it looks like you are really getting organised. I just noticed your are in Sheffield, I am just down the road from you. OH works in Sheffield and is wondering whether he should work from home tomorrow in case there is train chaos with the predicted weather!

We have organised a lot of spreadsheet things the last few months, they are quite addictive aren't they? I wish I was better at making them up though to suit exact needs. I am really considering starting a diary too to keep me on track. Reading everyone else's is so inspirational.

    Good luck!

    Quick update before sleeping-smiley-face.gif

-[STRIKE] money shuffling and update spreadsheets TONIGHT[/STRIKE] :D

Noticed (thanks to doing the above job) that my £62.25 DD OP has gone (this rounds up our mortgage payment to a nice round £500 every month)

    Off to update MFW2013!!

Lots of snow here so meetings cancelled and I get a day at home (not meant to work Fridays anyway :D)

    So plans for today:
    - sort DD clothes and box up the outgrown (can't complain she's getting a LOT of wear out of clothes as she's 20 months and just going into 9-12 month)
    - Washing (should really strip wash the nappies too :undecided)
    - Quick kitchen clean
    - Quick bathroom clean

Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm
