    Fingers crossed for you skimper.

Still no sign of anything for me. I was feeling more in the mood [wink wink] this week which is usually a sign of ovulation for me, so maybe it is on its way!

I've got the usual pre-AF symptoms...
we go on holiday on Thursday for 10days and AF is due right at the start of it! Hubby was hoping for a "holiday baby" (J was one!!) but I don't think that's likely!
Just want to get this month out of the way now!

I tested this morning and got a BFN, but I've convinced myself it's not fully negative and in certain lights and angles I can see a shadow of a line :rotfl: I think I'm just driving myself mad and seeing what I want to see, Oh said he can't see anything, but I still have a bit of nausea this morning.

AF is due any day now, ovia predicts Thursday, so just wait and see, if no period by Friday I'll test again.

Hi everyone. I'm back with you. DD is almost 7 months old. We've decided to go for a third eek! I'm breastfeeding and my periods haven't returned and I'm pretty sure I'm not yet fertile, so this one is likely to be long in the making!

 fancy seeing you back here so soon too. I thought I was mad thinking of number 2 now!

I'm in almost the same boat as Rambosmum, but wanting number 2. I'm still breastfeeding and have been tracking ovulation since May. I got a positive in early July, but started bleeding at 9DPO. This cycle I got my positive on the 8th Aug which was CD19 but again started spotting on CD28 (9DPO). I planned to test tomorrow but I'm not hopeful. I'd class this bleeding as heavy spotting, but it's not quite AF level.

So I'm currently in the TWW on CD31 but I might switch it to an earlier CD if this does turn into AF but who knows!

Thanks Skimper! I have my fingers crossed that you get good news this week.

Spotting has turned into AF for me today, so I'm saying CD1 and onto September!

Has anyone had any experience with PCOS and pregnancy?
I am helping someone whose first language is not English. Her husband is British, but she cannot get assisted conception on the NHS because of her immigration status. She can get all other NHS treatment but not assisted conception.
She has not got any other symptoms of PCOS eg spots, hair etc.
Chart says she is a little overweight but not much.
Gynecolocyst says he cannot give her clomid. Only fertility center can give her that (she cannot have assisted conception)
Would welcome suggestions or others experiences.

Snowbird - Has she been diagnosed by the doctor as having PCOS?
Diagnosing and making sure she has regular periods shouldn't come under assisted conception but i'm not 100% sure on that.

Hop hop - sorry to see that AF has turned up.

I'm on day 27, still no sign of AF, feeling less sick today, though I've had terrible cramping all morning and a sore back! Been sat sweating all morning with a hot water bottle. I've only ever had mild period cramps once, so fingers crossed its good cramping.
The analyst in me couldn't help to spreadsheet my cycle data (#Geek), out of the last 11 cycles, 7 of them have been spotting day 26 or less, 3 on day 27 & once on day 28.

I'm going to test again tomorrow when AF is due.

yes she has been diagnosed as having pcos.
When we went to the hospital they said that they would give her her the contraceptive pill to make her periods more regular, rather than Clomid to make her ovulate. They were very unhelpful
Was hoping someone with similar had any experience in getting clomid

Clomid alone isn't always the answer Snowbird. I have PCOS and before I was given clomid my partner (husband) had to have a sperm assessment as there was no point treating me if there was no chance of pregnancy. I also had to have a test to check that my fallopian tubes were clear.

Only 6 cycles of clomid are usually allowed for health reasons. I conceived on cycles 2 and 4 but there is a higher than normal chance of miscarriage with PCOS and I m/c both pregnancies. After cycle 6 it was decided that rather than move on to further treatment I would be allowed one more cycle because I had previously conceived. On cycle 7 I was given extra hormone treatment from the date of ovulation in order to help my egg to mature and to support any possible pregnancy. Cycle 7 worked and I had a successful pregnancy.

There are a lot of reasons why a person can't just get clomid pills and take them. They don't always work anyway because PCOS is a complex disorder. It sounds as though the person that you are helping needs to start assisted conception with a private specialist who will decide the correct treatment and monitor your friend properly.
