Urgent advise needed - Loan application error
Good morning guys, I'm in a right mess and was hoping you could help me out with some advice. I recently applied for a loan for £6,000 to purchase a car. I can't remember there being a section being a home owner or tenant etc on the application. The only time something like this was mentioned was when I entered my address and it asked if I had a mortgage for that property, I said no as it's owned by my wife and has been since before we met.
The application was accepted. I've received a copy of my application form and it states that I'm a homeowner, but that I don't have a mortgage on the property where I live. So basically I ever have another property with a mortgage or I own another property outright, neither of which are true. I've received the money, but haven't touched it as I don't know what to do. Should I bring it to the attention of the loan company and see what they say or just return the money + interest?
Any advice would be so much appreciated, Hx

I think you're over thinking to it. You are a home owner without a mortgage. You can always phone them to clarify0

Hi,
You are not in any mess at all.
Cant see what your problem is to be honest, makes no difference to anything what your home status is listed as.
