Fantastic tradition for little ones

I thought this was so brilliant, http://organizedchristmas.com/magic-elf-holiday-tradition I don't have anyone to do it for but thought you'd like to see anyway.
For the life of me I can't seem to find any elves online except the American link on here to buy - such a shame. Maybe the crafties amongst you could make one.
You could box it all up and give as a gift in October or November for relations with little ones too with a note for parents explaining the idea.
Such a shame I can't find any bloomin elves. (maybe they're all helping santa)
I've seen parents make little boots and scarves etc. while the elf is visiting to give them as a gift and taking the elf on days out. Quite magical for children I thought.
All the printables are on the link too.

Hi, I found a lovely big elf in Costco last year, and had fabulous fun doing this, we would put him a different position, doing something different each day, my son who's 11 pretended he was too old for this sort of malarky, but I think he secretly loved it.0

I'd have loved to have found it when my 2 were younger and whilst I can convince them that if you don't believe you don't recieve, at nearly 21 and 17 I think I'd have a heck of time telling them that santa's elf was coming for a visit.
I'm so pleased to hear your children enjoyed it. I think it's a brilliant idea.0 -

Only any good if you knit but Alan dart has 2 patterns that may be good, http://www.alandart.co.uk/products/product/20 and http://www.alandart.co.uk/products/product/13
Which reminded me that I started the first one and just never sewed him up. (I hate the sewing bit) LOL
If you crochet there's this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Gourmet-Magical-Santa-Elf-Crochet-Pattern_W0QQitemZ190242889906QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 Oh it's so cute.
Hope it helps, still looking.0
