Inaccurate black boxes 20th Sep 19 at 8:16 PM
There are complaints on here from time to time, that people believe they have been unfairly penalised by black box data. Some have even had their insurance cancelled.

I came across this recent decision which may be helpful to people in this position. https://www.ombudsman-decisions.org.uk/viewPDF.aspx?FileID=218181

Good that they compensated the guy. Those boxes are extremely unreliable and most people just get ripped off by them.

We had this argument a while back and some posters were saying the black box can never be wrong etc. My advice is for no one to take these policies because it will likely end in cancelled policies that they have to declare forever.

I am assuming the reviewer at the insurance company did not know what the English channel is
