  • Hi, count me in. I've been fairly organised this year in terms of savings, but if I could do it for free, I'd be chuffed to bits!!

whoa...where was this ipod deal thingy? Has it finished now?

Yes, I think so, but it seems to come up periodically. Tesco DVD were doing it in September and I got mine through The Guardian's Sofa Cinema. It's all from "love film" who run these things for various companies. I'll keep a look out and post if i see anything ;)

I don't lose any money transferring over- I 'buy' the amount in paypal vouchers with the points and then it transfers over.

I didn't know you could do that. Have always avoided the Paypal option as I didn't want to lose any money but might do this next time - the money might be more useful than vouchers!

I've found £14.15 in a survey account I'd forgotten about - opinionbar.com - it's good, rare to get many surveys but it pays into your bank at £10 so is quite good that way.

I'm going to leave it in there for Jan bargains for next Christmas :) If I swap it now I'll jsut waste it.

  • Thanks Sea. Just joined that one and also the onepoll site that Tru suggested earlier.

Decided that I will start saving vouchers now, but any cash payments won't be included until 1st January - not that I'm really expecting any before then, apart from £25 from pureProfile which should be deposited soon.

hi everyone, ive just done my sums worked out how much id like to save by next christmas- £750. never realised i spent that much on cmas!
it covers everything- £150 each of my children, £100 dh, £200 everyone else and £150 christmas week food shopping.
I have worked out that if I get £2 in saver stamps each week from tescos, it will be almost enough to cover my food budget. Then, my £3/wk will total £178 by 16/12/08, I am also going to give my mum £15 every payday starting this december ending next November- thats £180. then, will include my mystery shopping money from now on- total £10 so far.
Also compelted 2 on line surveys this morning- total 7000 points with test and vote, but cant get on website to check my total balance...

Great idea for a challenge! Please count me in. :j

I've been really enjoying the 'Make £10 a Day challenge' so hopefully this will keep my resolve with a long-term goal in sight.

To be honest, I think I've done quite well this year. I've bought lots of my son's presents from Boots using Advantage points. Their offers (3 for 2 etc) still work when you spend points so they work out good value. I also top my mobile up at Boots so that I get points on that. Not much but it does add up.

Also converted lots of survey rewards (Juicy Brains and Lightspeed mainly) to Amazon vouchers. I save them up until I've got at least £15 worth (to avoid paying p&p) and them spend them on presents too. ;)

Happy Christmas 2007 everybody and good luck for a frugal Christmas 2008! :T
