What is a reasonable time for an energy company to refund a credit balance to my account following request for same?
I haven't asked for the total credit balance to be repaid, the remaining credit will cover two monthly payments.I pay by direct debit and the sum has accrued due to their admitted errors in billing.

They have to assess your account to make sure you are not taking summer credit which would leave you short in the winter but anything upto 30 days would be reasonable.0

Have just received notification that requested refund amount has been processed and will be in my account within 10 days.
The sum in question is a few hundred pounds and I feel I was justified in informing them of my intention to pursue this with the ombudsman. This may have expedited the refund however I do find it annoying that I had to resort to this in order to have my money, which has been sitting in their account due to their error, refunded.
Thank you again.0
