Two young businessmen in Florida were sitting down for a break in their
soon-to-be new store in the shopping mall. As yet, the store wasn't ready,
with only a few shelves and display racks set up.

One said to the other, "I'll bet that any minute now some senior is going
to walk by, put his face to the window, and ask what we're selling."

Sure enough, just a moment later, a curious senior gentleman walked up to
the window, looked around intensely and rapped on the glass, then in a
loud voice asked, "What are you selling here?"

One of the men replied sarcastically, "We're selling !!!-holes."

Without skipping a beat, the old timer said, "You must be doing well. Only
    two left."

Seniors -- don't mess with them, They didn't get old by being stupid!

    fn/f5 may enable your touchpad.

Tried all fn/F numbers also uninstalling and reinstalling mouse in device management.

The main thing that I've seen is that a lot of people have had this problem when upgrading to Windows 10, but I've had this for over a year! Never had this problem befoe. I just can't understand why it works in safe mode and not normal though!

Has it gone into tablet mode?
    I think....

Have you tried the combinations of fn and F numbers? What make of computer is it?

The only other thing I can suggest is a System Restore!

ive been trying to keep up to date but sometimes its impossible...hows mum? has she managed a few steps yet? often when problems like hers happen the 'patient' gets frightened of walking in case they fall, but often they wont admit it, it can take a while for her to build up trust with her carer to then have the confidence to try :)

Last saw mum on Monday and she not walking :(

Will be going tomorrow so will have an update then :)

The GP scales probably see a lot more traffic and i'm going to hazard a guess that they are not going to be calibrated very often (if at all )

I'm at the age now where i'm going to start refusing, last time the GP asked me my weight so I told her, she didn't believe me and asked me to step on the bloody scales. So from now on they can either believe me or lump it :D

Aawww no thats bought me back down to earth with a bump
Perhaps I need to drop into a couple of Boots and weigh myself to see which ones are accurate. Mine or GPs lol

I don't think it has tablet mode.

Edit - It has, I just searched for it. But all looks ok. It has to ask my permission to switch.

The only other thing I can suggest is a System Restore!

    It's a Sony Vaio model PCG-71911M

All the system restores have gone also apart from windows update at 2am this morning. When I tried to restore to that point it said it couldn't due to antivirus. Could that be it?

But then, I was up until 5am chatting to a mate on skype and then used it again at 10am with no problem.

I was in the middle of writing an email when it dissapeared!
