Can someone tell me if they had any luck with PDUK and paydayexpress? They seem right scheming !!!!!!!s. Asked for statement of account, they refused, wrote formal complaint based on evidence I had, they replied they'd investigate. 8 weeks have passed and they emailed saying they haven't finished their investigation. Replied asking for statement of account so I can make formal FOS complaint, again they refused. Will the FOS still investigate on what evidence I have? Basically some emails stating loan amounts and that I am requesting to extend them etc, as well as credit report. However I know it's not the full details of all loans. Thanks

I had the same problem with both, the FOS will investigate and pduk and pde will send the statements to the FOS, the FOS will come to a decision based on that, and probably ask for your bank statements.
FOS found in my favour about 3 weeks ago, still no refund, these 2 companies are just trying to be awkward imo

I accepted an offer from Wonga a few days ago, nothing yet. How long have you been waiting? Did you accept offer or go through FOS? Apparently we shall receive an email of confirmation of refund, and then it takes up to 14 days! Ridiculous stalling tactics

At least with some other companies, I've had the refund the same day as accepting offer.

I paid over £3500 in interest to wonga and their offer was £1200 so roughly a third...I don't want to lose the offer but do believe I should get more back through FOS, does anyone have experience on how long this takes?
At least wonga came back with an offer within the 8 weeks, I am yet to hear from PDUK.

I accepted on 25th but haven't received anything yet other than an email saying they aim to complete in 14 working days... but I've heard once they email to say it's been processed it's another 3-5 days 🙄

FOS can take a long time. You could complain and wonga might up their offer. If you stick it out all the way with the FOS, could be anything from 6 months to a year! Depends how urgent you need the refund. Fortunately wonga made a decent offer for me so I don't need to go through the FOS. Just have the hassle now of wonga actually paying me!

  • Been following the thread and good luck everyone in their journey. I've had one pay day loan (recently) and either there was a glitch on their site or they still don't do affordability checks properly!! I put my address in (lived here a month, no previous asked) and entering income I put £600 wage and my outgoings were more because the Incomings they asked for wage only. It kept taking me back to that page lol so I eventually entered my WTC tax credits in the salary box (total £900 incl wage) and it was accepted!! anyway it's all paid I knew the charges etc just thought id mention it only borrowed to cover some D/D I didn't have the money for paid it just over a week later knowing I'd have the funds to pay, I feel for anyone caught in the payday loan trap

Its frustrating that major payouts are tantalizingly close for me, but Wonga and QuickQuid add on so many extra days for processing the payment! Very frustrating! Have to give them up to 4 working weeks for it. Annoying that other companies such as MyJar and Piggybank, paid out the same day as accepting the offers!
