Evening all, great to see us all making good inroads into our debts!!

Muppets, thanks for all your continued hard work on the thread! :A

I've paid off/saved £783 in February. Not overly happy with it but it's been a really tough month on every level!!

    For the end of February I'm declaring: #11 £2197 / £12490

  • Morning,
pay day for me today. I'm returning to work from maternity so this marks my first full pay since Feb 2017.
We have paid off £125 this morning and a DD due on 5th March that we are unable to cancel - will mean we will have cleared a long standing CC once a small amount of interest is paid off. So so happy. It really is great to see us all paying our debts off.
End of Feb check in :
£3,053 paid / £6,657 original debt balance at start of Jan 2017:money:

Minimum payment of £56.80 made to Halifax. Having to save money for the next month or so as my union has called us out on strike. So it looks like I won't be making any major payments to the cards till that's resolved. :(

  • Morning all,

Main pay day for me so have paid my mortgage arrears of £1.1k which was my main priority.

Off now to cancel any DD's so I make the payments manually as they keep bouncing which means that I end up with £95 of charges each month. I have 2 bank accounts this happens with, I am determined this is the last month that I pay these charges.

Wishing the weather to warm up so I can get off at zone 2 (I live zone 6) and walk into zone 1. Also by doing this off peak mon-fri it will mean that my travel goes down by £180 per month (I.e. the bank charges) and if I keep doing this until October/November before it gets cold again then I have already found a way to save £1.6k which is one of my credit cards.

Eugh this is going to be one long hard slog but having my light bulb moment once again I am determined this time will be the last that I am in debt!
Whilst I am here, mortgage interest is so expensive!!! It's my first year of having one, so I need to pay unsecured debt off quickly so I can make overpayments to the mortgage. I paid £5.4k and £3.1 was interest alone!!!

    DDx
    Started again 25th December 2017
    Current tracking - £7,955.84/ £18,282.25 to pay off. (31.12.19)

  • Afternoon,

Few payments made over the last few days.

    #41 - £3484.42/£4000.00

As there will be another big payment due in May, can I up my target to £7000 for this year please? This should cover the slight increase in debt and what's been paid off to try and reduce it.
