    I had been looking at this soft shell jacket, reduced from £99.99 to £12.79

    but popped into the shop to pick up my coats and saw this on the 'sale' rail:

    Website price reduced from £129.99 to £49.99
    But...priced at £25.99 and in my size and my favourite colour so I snapped it up.

    Looks like 'the event' starts in 1 day 14 hours....

    I don't think it's a case of 'making the prices up' as they are printed on the hanging tags on the garments.
    Perhaps you mean the original prices aren't realistic...?

    You don't have to buy anything from either store if you don't think it's a bargain. :)

    deanos, you are right about Trespass and Mountain warehouse RRPs but some of the stuff is still reasonable as long as you check out the technical side of what you are buying.
    It's not top end stuff but much of it is reasonable for the amount you pay.
    Another site you might want to check out is called sportpursuit.
    They have stuff on there from 10's of pounds to 100's but I have bought some stuff off them and am very pleased.
    A coat which was 95% down and 5% feather for £100.
    It isn't this years design but technically it is almost identical and the new version IS on sale on other sites for £200+.
    I don't think they have their own brand stuff it is just bulk buying and end of line stuff.
    Just take note of their delivery times. It can vary depending of different items but it will usually be made clear before you purchase. Most things will get to you within a week (£5) but some socks I ordered took more than 2 weeks.
