Trouble insuring a Renault Maxity

My vehicle is a Renault Maxity 2008 3.5t. It is a rebadged version of the Nissan cabstar. My problem is that when I input the vehicles reg# on insurers websites it comes up with the wrong vehicle and they are unable to find my vehicle on their database. When I check the details with the DVLA it correct details of my vehicle.
Anyone give me a clue at what to do next.

I had the same a few years ago. I had a Nissan Pickup, but the registration no. related to a Ford Iveco according to askmid.
Apparently a simple input error by the insurance co.
I had to ask my insurance broker (who had the correct details) to contact the insurance company, inform them of the discrepancy and ask them to correct it.
*The details were correct on the Police National Computer (PNC) which suggests the two databases, askmid and PNC, aren't linked.0 -
Thanks for the info
This is for a new quote so all the insurers are just saying that they cannot provide a one because it doesn't exist as far as they're concerned.
Yeah seems like their database isnt linked to anything that has the correct info.0 -
Don't know what to suggest apart from try contacting the insurance co. and push them to correct the error. If they fob you off, make an official complaint. Pretty sure they have to respond to that.0

Has it been re-registered? (an import maybe?)
I had an LDV convoy which was ex-MOD. It had been given a number which was previously used by another vehicle, causing some confusion. I used a broker who was able to override the database, but a comparison website or electronic quote wouldn't have worked.0 -
Id try Adrian Flux or sky insurance. They specialise in imported vehicles.0

Have you tried just selecting the vehicle from the drop downs instead of using the reg number? All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0
