Congrats Ms Dee and Indie on your wins.

Confession time - I've stopped counting for the 1000 challenges. I've spent most of July waiting and chasing prizes won in June which has left me disillusioned and disheartened and makes me wonder how many prizes never get sent out by the PR companies. I'm going to try something a little different for August to try and get my mojo back.

Ascending order - View the forum in ascending order, stop skimming and flitting here, there and everywhere and getting distracted.

Unsubscribe - Despite GDPR my inbox is flooded with hundreds of emails on a daily basis. Stop deleting and start unsubscribing especially websites that include emojis in the title, hint you are a winner but its just a discount code, only host competitions on social media - when asked why state: "PROTEST: I'm disappointed that the competitions you host are now only open to social media users especially with all the negative press surrounding these sites with regards to privacy and the negative impact it can have on mental health."

Give Back - Take the time to let others know about wins by adding winners on competition database. I would have missed out on wins if it wasn't for others doing this. When unsubscribing from emails post any competitions you come across so others can have the chance to enter and win.

Unplug - Setting a time limit means I focus and achieve more.

Search & Share - The majority of my wins last year and so far this year have come from searching and finding competitions that haven't been posted on a competition website. I usually come across competitions that have ended so I'm hoping if I do this more often this won't happen. Add any links I find to competition database.

Thank you - When I receive a WEM or surprise delivery, post about it on I Won! I Won! thanking the member who posted and the site who hosted the competition. It lets others know the winners have been picked for that competition and can stop wondering and living in hope. It also shows the sites are genuine and that someone is actually winning from them.

    Well done indie.

I love the AUGUST list aspella!

Gobsmacked I made it 4 in a row, a 30 voucher to spend at Plutus Store (yesterday) which is new from July I believe, so not much on their site but my partner has found a couple of things he would like
We also spent my Buyagift voucher, that I won in January, for a meal out for the both of us, which was really nice, we don't often get out to do much together and it can count as my birthday dinner as it is my birthday month too.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

Congrats everyone who's won, some fab prizes too
Well July was another write-off for me, no wins but then I hardly got chance to enter any so perhaps not too surprising! I would say fingers crossed for August, but at this rate I probably won't be back online til next month anyway... x

Unfortunately August is getting off to a bad start, my numbers have come up on Free National Lotto - but I'm unable to claim as claim button isn't working. I've sent them emails and screen shots last night but no reply so far; I'm hoping they'll do it manually. Fingers crossed.

Update: 15 plus an extra 5 for the delay received on the 29th August. So Free National Lotto are paying out but communication is poor.

I won and donated my tickets to some stranger who I'm posting them out to. Didn't we say this counted as a charity donation? If so you can either choose T for Tickets or F for Festival of Fabric tickets, I'll let Mansey decide.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

Hello everyone, seems to have been a slowish month for most so far.
Pleased to report though that the dry-spell has ended, I won a Miffy book on twitter- my little lad was very pleased at any rate

He's starting school soon, so I'm hoping to be back and squeeze a bit of comping in before the arrival of BabyDormouse#2 in a few weeks

I've managed to cross off an August win by the skin of my teeth.

I had an email a couple of months ago to say I had won some cheese snacks. Have been chasing the prize up, but didn't get a reply. I thought I was going to have to write this one off, but they eventually turned up unexpectedly.

Congrats Marg2k8, Ms Dee, mansey, indie, lucinad and Dormouse1940 on your August wins.

August was a lot more laid-back and enjoyable thanks to my August list. Viewing the forum in ascending order has meant there's been no last minute mad dash to enter end of month competitions. I've had a few nice wins in August, a bit disappointed I didn't win the Wasgij magazine daily competition as it was top of my wish list but you can't win them all.

    Short and sweet for September:

Space. I've won 50 competitions so far this year so I'm going to find 50 items in my house to sell or donate to make some space and raise some funds for Xmas. Items 3/50 V = 0.56 A = 6.50
Enter gleam & rafflecopter on a daily basis. My least favourite method of entry and success ratio - so try and put more effort into it. If nothing else I might be able to cross off the 1000 challenge.
Post once a day. Fingers crossed I can post lots of wins on the I Won thread. It'll probably end up being a mixture of competition posts or even a simple congratulations. I promise not to bombard this thread.
Tackle my inbox. Unsubscribing last month has made some difference but I need to do more before the onslaught of Black Friday and the Advents.
