Equity Release

Can you guys recommend a company you have dealt with your Equity Release.
Key retirement always springs to mind and they have a Trust Pilot score of 9.7. But others with a lower sample but higher rating exist. Examples are Retirement Line and Responsible Equity Release.
Any feedback will be extremely welcome.

I suggest you talk to a local specialist broker. ER is a big step and there are issues you will probably want to discuss face to face. When we went for a lifetime I/O mortgage we talked to a broker who was also an IFA who was able to discuss and document our options on the basis of our overall financial situation.

I am asking the question on behalf of an elderly gentleman. He is 77 has angina, Type 2 and has had a bypass and cancer. He has no dependents he wishes to leave money to.
He just wants to raise money to enjoy the next 10 years (hopefully) and just wants recommendations of ER companies he can trust.

He / you need to check that the company chosen / broker recommendation is signed up to the Equity Release Council (used to be SHIP) to ensure they follow the code of practise, and check they are also properly regulated - see
