Redundancy and sickness insurance

In the early 2000s I had one of these policies. Do the same rules apply as to PPI? Does the Plevin ruling apply to this sort of policy?

    It is a form of PPI but it is one of the better types and you can still buy that type today.
    Does the Plevin ruling apply to this sort of policy?

    No. These plans are not linked to a credit agreement. So, S140a of the consumer credit act does not apply.
