My Coventry fixed erm ISA is maturing May 31 - advice sought 15th May 19 at 5:51 AM
My Coventry Cash Isa is maturing on May 31. It enjoyed a 2.25% interest rate which was pretty good and now I must decide what to do with the funds. Naturally I have scoured this excellent website for my options. So - a quick question for all of you much cleverer people...Coventry BS have offered me a 5 year fixed term cash ISA offering 2.10% which I could easily transfer my funds into and even top up if I wished. I cannot find another ISA or indeed a savings account, offering a better rate (I do not need access to my money for the short term so 5 years is fine) - so I am wondering, if I have missed a better option anywhere else? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You can get 2.3% at Shawbrook at the moment for 5 years for an ISA.

Or, you can get 2.75% expected rate at Gatehouse Bank outside an ISA which may be better if you don't pay tax on your savings.

Before you lock in for that length, have you considered the risk of rates going up in the mean time?
