So sorry to hear about your nan GreenT, that's really sad news. Sounds like your holiday went well though, a little top up of sunshine sounds just lovely. Glad DS1 has settled well into Uni life. Does seem strange at home when the numbers start to drop doesn't it? You are right about the food lasting longer though :rotfl: Thinking of you x

Do you still get through gallons of milk without the older 2 and dh around? I don't think you drink too much of it, do you?

I only have (skimmed) milk in my tea - I don't tend to have much other than that - maybe a bit in porridge occasionally, but I don't do cereal other than that (ooh - granola - but I only eat that with greek yog) It's the small 2 who get through the milk - DD doesn't do dairy, DS1 only has milk in his 1 coffee a day. OH has milk on cereal/ in tea and coffee. We are still getting through around 6-8 x 4pt bottles a week...…

Not a bad weekend here - feels chilled but also some things have been achieved. Went to local Farmers Mkt yesterday and bought just a couple of yummy food items, but it is *so* chilled there it's just nice to wander around. All washing/ ironing up straight. Some tidying in DS3's room and removal of outgrown/ worn out items. OH fixed some skirting board in hallway that's been missing for maybe 8 years..... Oh - and he filled some holes in the hall wall and changed a blown bulb in my car :T Some older foodstuffs used up. Nice food over weekend in general. Homework completed by both smaller ones without too much aggro :) And I've kept up logging all foods on MFP for 4 days now :D
Ooh - and I've contacted someone to re-hang the other radiator in the kitchen and service the boiler - should be done later this month :)

Heating chap for radiator/ boiler is booked for 19th and decorators for hall/ stairs/ landings walls and ceilings and dining room ceiling (has a mark on it from a leaking rad 2 years (maybe 3?) ago, so may as well get that done at same time! :D) booked for 26th/27th (maybe 28th) - whoop! :j :T Ok - so it's spending money, but it's getting stuff DONE! :D

Have been religiously logging foods on MFP all of (all 7 days now! :D) this month. It's certainly making me mindful of what I'm eating...…. Am also trying to make sure I'm still using up random/ hanging around / excess items whilst doing so - at least whilst OH is away in the week :)

Oooh, yes - both DD and DS1 have decided to come home for the weekend 16-18th of this month :) That will be lovely to see them both. Am sure they are also planning on topping up their food supplies, seeing as OH has said he will drive them back on the Sunday :D (they are both getting the train on the Fri) Still - that will create some room in the kitchen for Xmas goodies! :D I can also send them both back with their advent calendars - saves me posting them (I shall wrap them in brown paper (have a massive roll of it from soapmaking/ selling days - have used enough that I can finally lift it up!!) so they can't see what they have and are hopefully less tempted to eat any before Dec! :D)

Not sure I've got any actual money-type news to report...…. :rotfl:

    xx

Loving your sorting the jobs that have been lurking for ages. It’s like decluttering...ridiculously pleasing...almost out of all proportion to the event itself. Love it :D

And I have now decided to make sure I buy advent calendars for my kids even when they have left home. Nice idea x

Hi greent, I am watching silently from the sidelines to learn if you reach your £8k op this year. A very impressive target which you seem to be taking in your stride!

Seperately, can I ask what the acronym ‘MFP’ stands for?
